Pair of Bullfinches in the garden this morning - feeding on dandelion heads.

I will continue to photograph this Little Owl every evening after work if he hangs around.  I think the next step is to try for some in flight photos.

A few photos after work today.  Hobbies and Swifts over nearby lake.  And then the Little Owl yet again - this time in a tree.

A four part post, as I had quite a successful trip to Pulborough Brooks this morning.  Got there for just after 07:00.  Quite a few Nightingales singing - more than I've heard in previous years.  Managed to get some quite nice shots of one of them feeding on the ground.  Sparkly in the morning light.

Then later in the morning, a couple of Adders appeared.  The first I've ever seen.  Mostly just coiled up by the side of the path, but I did manage to spot one working its way through the grass.

And one of the reserve volunteers pointed out a big ball of mating Grass Snakes.  At least 5 in the ball at one point.  Happens same place, same time every year apparently.

I also got a couple of shots of Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler - mainly for a comparison of what they look like.  Finally, just before I got home early afternoon I spotted my friendly local Little Owl perched up on a shed, so took a couple more shots.

A very early start to get to Ham Wall for sunrise, and then on to the Quantocks mid morning.  Photos of Bitterns, Great White Egret, Glossy Ibis, Whitethroat, Reed Bunting, Pied Flycatchers and Wood Warbler.
