Some shots of Swallows and House Martins on the wire outside our house this evening.

Very early start today to get to RSPB Ham Wall at sunrise to try and see a Little Bittern.  After an hour or two of waiting, eventually managed to track one down.  Quite a few flights in quick succession, allowed me to take some shots.  Distant, but I'm quite pleased with some of them - the backgrounds are nice.

Final visit of the year to the Salisbury Cathedral Peregrines at first light this morning.  Not  huge amount of activitiy - the youngsters often taking fairly long flights before returning to the spire, so I suspect they'll leave fairly soon.

There's a Nightjar that has been roosting during the day in a tree near the cafe at Arne in Dorset.  Luckily, it was still there today when I managed to pop down.  Distant, and tricky to spot, but I got a few photos.  The first Nightjar I've actually seen in the UK.  He was churring a bit too.

A couple of Swallows around one of the barns in the village today.
