Some photos of the Salisbury Peregrines this afternoon.  Quite a lot of action, with the male passing food to the female.  The female is the same one as last year - tagged SY, and still wearing her satellite tracker that was put on her during Springwatch last year.  The male has no ring though - so a different individual to last year it seems.

A few shots from RSPB Arne this morning.  First decent day this spring - lots of Dartford Warbler and Green Woodpecker activity.

A few hours at Hengistbury Head this morning, hoping to find Wheatears.  No luck, but did spot a Weasel hunting in the wooded area.  Very inquisitive little thing and came very close.

An odd few days out and about.  Thursday and Friday, went looking for more Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers.  Felt like a perfect day, but no sign whatsoever.  Then Saturday, went looking for Goshawks.  Again, ideal conditions, but no sign at all.  Today, same spot, same weather conditions, and quite a lot of Goshawk action.  Only distant views, but I quite like the photo below - back lit by the sun, shows the fluffed up undertail coverts quite nicely.

Finally managed to hear some Lesser Spotted Woodpecker drumming in the New Forest this morning.  Also quite a bit of calling too.  Getting good views for a photo was very tricky though - only managed this record shot through the branches (female LSW).  Should have got there earlier in the morning - all went quiet at 10:30.
