Time is running out to see a Wryneck this Autumn, so this morning I left early to try and see the one that's been at the quarry near the observatory on Portland.  At about 08:00, I spotted it and it foraged around for about 15 - 20 mins.  Luckily I was the only one there and it came quite close.  By 10:00, a few others had turned up, but the Wryneck had dropped down to forage under the brambles with no decent views for the rest of the morning.  So I'm quite pleased with some of these shots.

Due to a slight miscalculation, I ended up getting to Portland at 05:40 - an hour before sunrise.  So I took the opportunity to attempt some sunrise photos around the lighthouse.
